Kathleen Anderson de Miranda

Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga

Kathleen Anderson de Miranda began her yoga journey in the Iyengar tradition in 2001. This first yoga experience was with Iyengar Yoga was transformative: It relieved chronic pain, created a sensation of strength where there had been the weakness, and calmed her nervous system. Kathleen has practiced yoga ever since. She teaches to share the same healing benefits, especially to those who are stressed, burned out or looking for a holistic approach to health.

For Kathleen, yoga is the path of awareness, wholeness, and presence. Through pranayama, meditation and asana practice, you are invited to transform and grow; to be curious and open, connected with yourself physically, mentally emotionally and spiritually. You will become more aware of your ever-evolving strengths, limitations, and opportunities for growth—on the mat and in your life.

Upon moving to from Chicago Kathleen studied with Ulrika Rätz in Uppsala, and in 2013 completed her Teacher Training in Hatha Yoga. Kathleen has nearly 700 hours of teacher training, most recently with Ratheesh Mani, Caroline Westling, and Chuck Miller.

Kathleen is also a certified Somatics Coach and has completed the first level of Hanna Somatics clinical training with the Living Somatics Insititute. She holds a Blue Belt in the Nia Technique and is also certified in Nia Moving to Heal and Developmental Anatomy.
